Children's Summer Programs & Forming Disciples 2025-26

We are excited to announce the dates for Forming Disciples and Faith Explorers for the summer of 2025! We cannot wait to be with the children again for a summer full of games, fun, prayer, learning about the beauty of creation and our Catholic Faith, and, most importantly, growing in love for God and one another. Registration will open around March for all programs.


Forming Disciples (Catechism/Religious Education)


Session 1 (Levels 1-8) - June 20 to July 3, from 9am to 12:15pm (weekdays)

Session 2 (Levels 1-8) - August 4 to August 8, from 9am to 3pm

Session 3 (Levels 1-8) - August 18 to August 29, from 9am to 12:15pm (weekdays)

OCIA for Teens: Summer Retreat (Year 1 & 2) - August 18 to August 29, from 6:30 to 9pm (weekdays)

Session 4 - Classes on Sundays begin September 21, from 11:45am to 1:15pm


Faith Explorers


July 7 to August 1

9am to 12pm each weekday, except days when there are field trips (these days can run to late afternoon or early evening)

Stations of the Cross

Pray the Stations of the Cross with us on Fridays at 11:30am (English) and at 7pm (bilingual).


***There will be no Stations of the Cross at 7pm on April 4 due to the Mozart Concert. We invite you to join us for that concert at 7:30pm as we listen to and pray along with the beautiful music of Mozart's Requiem and Vespers.***

Desert Day

Each month the Fathers and Brothers of the Oratory spend a day in prayer, silence and spiritual reading. We invite you to join us for our "Desert Day," a monthly retreat day, usually on the first Wednesday of the month. 

The next Desert Day is April 2.

Here is the schedule of prayer during the day:

7:30am - Morning Mass

Immediately after morning Mass - Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament & Morning Oratory Prayer

All morning - Adoration in the Church

12:15pm - Mass in Latin

All afternoon - Adoration in the Church

6:30pm - Solemn Vespers & Benediction

St. Cecilia's Society Concert & Recital Series 2024-25

The Society of St. Cecilia at The Oratory Church of St. Anthony of Padua presents the 2024-25 season. Admission for all concerts and recitals is a free will offering.

December 6 at 7:30pm: George Frederic Handel's Messiah, Part One

April 4 at 7:30pm: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem & Vespers

June 29 at 3:30pm Liberty Extravaganza 2025, featuring the Oratory Choir & Liberty Singers with the St. Cecilia Society Brass Ensemble

Recital Series

August 18 at 3:30pm: St. Hildegard of Bingen, Doctor of the Church: Music & Meditations to Awaken the Soul, An Afternoon of Music and Prayer with Melissa Thornton, Soloist

October 13 at 3:30pm: Mary Klein in Recital - Mary Klein, pianist, performing the works of Bach, Beethoven, and Schumann

November 10 at 3:30pm: Vyacheslav Gryaznov, pianist, in recital, performing Tchaikovsky (selections from Nutcracker Suite ballet), and his own arrangements of Russian and Western Classical music

December 22 at 3:30pm: A Festival of Lessons and Carols: Scripural readings and time-honored music telling the story of Christmas

February 23 at 3:30pm: Dr. Kairy Koesova, pianist, in recital

First Friday Adoration

Please join us for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Friday,  April 4 from 9:30pm* to 7am on Saturday, April 5.

***Adoration will begin later this First Friday due to the Concert. We invite you to join us for the concert of Saint Cecilia Society as we listen to the sacred music of Mozart's Requiem & Vespers.***

Scholastic Explorers' Picnic Day

Are you tired of winter? Do you wish the groundhog hadn't seen his shadow? Then, let's celebrate summer early with an indoor picnic!


Join Scholastic Explorers, our afterschool program, for picnic fun on at 3:30pm Monday, April 7, in the parish center.

Soup Before Stations

The Mother Cabrini Society invites everyone to join them for a special Lenten soup before Stations of the Cross!


Friday, April 11, from 5 to 6:45pm in the Parish Center


Soup Choices: Minestrone, Pastina with Vegetables, Lentil, Black Bean & Rice


Entrance is a free will offering. Save your seat for Soup Before Stations by calling the parish office at 732-747-0813 ext. 107 or after any of the Masses on March 29-30 & April 5-6

The Ramblers' Hikes

The Ramblers is once-a-month hiking group for those 14 and older (those under 14 need a parent or guardian with them) meets at 8:30am on the following dates:


April 12 - Buttermilk Falls (Parking lot, Miller Ln, Martinsville, NJ 08836)

May 24 - Walking Pilgrimage to the Churches


You can join us for all or part of the trip. We hike rain, snow, or shine. The only thing that will stop us is lightning or a blizzard.

Oratory Groups for Children

Do you have children between kindergarten and 12th grade? We have great nights of fun, faith, and friendship coming up in the Youth Oratory (8th-12th grade), Junior Oratory (5th-7th grade), and Children's Oratory (kindergarten to 4th grade). We meet on Sundays at 7pm in the entrance of the Church.
